The nose wheel is steerable by linking it to the rudder. It's powered by two stock GWS motors with 8x6 GWS props (not pictured) connected to a single Wattage IC-55A esc with an MPI 6800 Pico receiver and two HS-55 servos. With 7 cell NiCd battery the whole setup weighs 11 ozs. My selection of this equipment was unscientific, but seems to work well. The cut-off voltage on the ESC is selectable with DIP switches and it's a very robust unit.

To increase strength, the tail and rudder surface have been covered with red packing tape that matches the wing color very nicely. Also, both wing LE and TE have 1/8" dowels running the entire length of the wing. The motor mounts were made from the extra fuse, drilled and mounted on the dowels.

Handling is not for the beginning or the timid. At this weight, you've got to get up a head of steam to get off the ground.
