The plane will be published somewhere so he isn't going to post the plans here yet, but he figured he'd give a "sneak preview" to everybody who helped out with choosing a name and the other stuff.

  • RTF weight (8 cell 270's):170g
  • Wing Loading: 3.67oz/sq ft
  • Weight: 49g with Reynolds Wrap covering - no equipment
  • Airfoil: flat

This is the original AMA "Delta Dart" designed by AMA President Frank Ehling in 1967.

The DD was originally a rubber-band powered FF model but if you're the type who doesn't like to leave well enough alone there is plenty of range in the basic platform.

BTW, Boris's PWT isn't directly scaled up from the DD, instead the PWT is a scaled down version of an even larger DD that was powered with a .10 gas engine as published in RCM&E (a magazine from England) so Boris's is actually a scaled-down version of a scaled-up version (:-)
