Other People's LiteSTICKs
Dr. Sandy Frank's Lazy Bee for people who don't like cardboard templates (:-)

This one shocked me totally as I own several Lazy Bees (even the Cox foamie) and several built up ones. This one is weird but it flew just like a Lazy Bee.

It was sluggish on 6 cells so I went to 8x120 mAh cells. It was a BLAST and has the same silly flying charastics as the real Lazy Bee with a .10 gas motor.

Chord = 12", Wingspan = 36". I made the wings from GUILLOWS brand foam avaliable at your local hobby shop.

All-up weight without the battery is 5.5 ozs. and I used the GWS lite on-board system and standard 10" prop.

The "airfoil" is flat at the tips with about 1" of undercamber at center section.

It's a real hoot to fly and turns on a dime with change back and even did a floppy rudder roll (of a sort...) but it did need the extra 2 cells to perform well.

It's a litle pitch sensitive but lots of fun to fly. It can almost hover and "hang on the prop" in full stall that's a hoot to see.

It was well worth the couple hours to build the wings but otherwise it's box stock with full control throws.

My next projext it a Round-Tuit: and IFO-style Lite Stick.
