Ed Couch Doesn't Like to Get Bored (:-)
I just can't help it, everytime I see a Stik something comes to mind. Here is my latest mind emanation (well, ok, Ed actually used another work here, but I'm trying to keep this G-rated) (:-) and damed if it don't look better than the last.
The radio is not mounted, but the present all up weight with 6x120 mAh Sanyo N6-PT attached is 5.6 ozs. Radio will be less than 1 oz. so the numbers look good. Will attempt flight sometimes this week and will let you guys know.
Wing beat is somewhere near 125 beats per minute and should be much more efficient than the last BIRD with a flex wing format. Wingspan is 41.5" with a 6.75" cord (added a 3.5" center section). Aluminum 1516 arrow shaft 20" long for fuselage. Only "weak link" are the ball links at end of leading edge rod, may change out to Mystery links used on main gear arm to correct.
Ok, what next, this is addictive and I have three Eddiebirds to build and an article or two to write. I know: How about a VTOL?
