Other People's LiteSTICKs - Various LiteSTICKs Helping Pets and their Owners (:-)
Ashok Srinivasan posted the following on [SFRC] on Nov. 22:
"Dog owners! Did you know that owning a LiteStick is an ideal way to give your dog exercise without getting any yourself? No? Then follow me closely...I was flying in my company parking lot at lunch when I noticed a large black dog fetching a tennis ball for his owner. Faced with a slow red bird, the dog soon lost interest in the ball and started chasing my LiteStick jumping up to try to snag it in his jaws. No amount of flying between lines of cars and around trees would shake him off. Just as the enthusuiasm the dog was showing for the plane was beginning to make me wonder if this was the end of my LiteStick, my batteries started to give out. I managed to circle around twice and land with me between the LiteStick and the barking dog who immediately rushed past me to sniff at the plane and presumably tear it apart. However, once he realized it was dead he lost interest......until the next flight when he repeated the performance all over again.
I had a new convert in the owner of the dog and had to tell him what he needed to do to get and fly one.
Just one of the many uses for this versatile machine..."
Unfortunately cats have so far proved totally unwilling to chase LiteSticks or any other airplanes. As a public service I'm providing some info to help stamp out fat cats. All you need is a laser pointer, although you may also want to follow the link to make sure that you're not violating the patent issued for this.
