Other People's LiteSTICKs - Mike Blott's "Turbo-Stick"

Dr. Mike Blott from sunny San Diego built a 5 oz Litestick with a V-tail and wingeron control.

Mike's "mechanism" involves gluing a lightweight aluminum tube to each wing panel. As you can see, the inboard end of each wing has been cut off and 2 balsa ribs added for support.

The fuselage gets a rib-shaped center section and a carbon pivot rod. The aluminum tubes slip onto the carbon rod and are held in place by the servo linkages.

The length of each linkage is adjusted by changing the angle of the V in the wire.
