No, he's not the official UFO LSO (Landing Signals Officer)!

Jeff (N8QPJ) is pointing to the pan/tilt mechanism that keeps the Yagi receive antenna
attached to his helmet pointed to the plane he's flying.

Yagi antennas are quite directional and otherwise need an assistant to point them at the airborne transmitter. Jeff found a brilliantly simple solution around this. He showed video clips taken with the setup and there's nothing funny about the quality of the results.
